The STAR Center has attracted a diverse group of technology companies and created a synergistic work environment. Samples of these technologies include: electronics manufacturing for command control and communication; hybrid circuitry; micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) for Nuclear Biological and Chemical sensors; digital imaging of ballistics for storage in a data base for forensics technology research and development; corrosion studies; chip scale packaging; laser technology research; Thermal Imaging; and recycling electronic hardware technology.
